Gate Restaurant is a modern restaurant in Prague 8 – Karlín, where honest Czech cuisine, high-quality ingredients, and a pleasant atmosphere come together. Since its opening, Gate Restaurant has gradually built a reputation as a place where guests come for great food, quality beer, and enjoyable dining in the heart of Karlín, just a few minutes’ walk from the Hilton Hotel.

In January 2026, we celebrated an important milestone. Gate Restaurant marks 20 years since its opening. On this occasion, the restaurant underwent a complete renovation and interior redesign. We modernized the space, improved guest comfort, and also decided to refine the restaurant’s gastronomic concept.

We shifted the original international focus of our cuisine closer to what is most natural to us. Today, Gate Restaurant specializes primarily in high-quality Czech cuisine and traditional Czech specialties prepared in a modern way. Our goal is to offer guests an authentic gastronomic experience and show that Czech cuisine can be contemporary, honest, and truly delicious.

We place great emphasis on the quality of ingredients and the preparation of our dishes. Gate Restaurant is among the restaurants in Prague that do not use semi-finished products. Most of our dishes are prepared from scratch directly in our kitchen. Our chefs make their own dumplings, pasta, sauces, and desserts. This allows us to maintain full control over the taste and quality of every dish that leaves our kitchen.

An essential part of the dining experience is also our beverage selection. On tap, we offer beer from two traditional Czech breweries, Pilsner Urquell and Staropramen. Guests can also enjoy homemade lemonades, cocktails, and high-quality coffee from the small family roastery Stodola Cafe. The selection is complemented by excellent teas from the renowned importer Amana.
