We operate an e-shop on the website gate.gate-restaurant.cz
For the provision of our services and the operation of our website, we process certain personal data.
The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”).
I. Processing of Personal Data
A. Processing of personal data when using the contact form
If you inquire about our products and services, we will work with the contact details you provide to us, mainly through the inquiry form. These include: First name and last name, phone number, email, address.
For what purpose?
We use them to contact you for further arrangements regarding goods and services.
On what legal basis?
This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – negotiation of a contract or taking steps prior to entering into a contract at your request.
How long will we process personal data?
If no further cooperation is established, we will process your data for a maximum of 2 years from our last communication.
B. Processing of personal data in case of purchase
If you make a purchase with us, we will process the data you provide. These are mainly billing details: first name, last name, address, email, phone number.
For what purpose?
We need to process personal data to fulfill our contract – to provide you with services. We will also use your contact details to communicate with you about the status of your order, or regarding complaints or your inquiries.
We also process personal data to comply with our legal obligations (especially for accounting and tax purposes, or for handling complaints and other matters).
On what legal basis do we process personal data?
This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract, and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with a legal obligation.
How long will we process personal data?
For the duration of our service and then for 2 years from the last provision of such service or delivery of goods.
C. Newsletters (commercial communications)
If you are a customer and did not opt out during your purchase, we will use your email address to send you updates.
On what legal basis?
This is allowed under Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, unless you opted out during your purchase.
How long will we process personal data?
For two years from your last purchase. You can unsubscribe at any time via email or contact us at: info@gate-restaurant.cz
II. Who has access to the data?
Your data remains with us. However, some companies or individuals working for us may have access to the data because they help us operate our e-shop. These include:
- the e-shop platform provider Shoptet (Shoptet a.s., Dvořeckého 628/8, Břevnov, 169 00, Prague 6, Company ID: 289 35 675, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, Insert 25 395)
We process personal data only within the European Union.
III. Additional Information
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer.
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.

IV. Your Rights

If you believe your data is not handled properly, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority or take legal action.
